Christmas 2019

On Earth, Peace

We hope you will join the singers of Seaglass Chorale as we express through music our heartfelt desire for Peace on Earth this holiday season. We will share our music at two performances, the first as part of Kennebunkport's Christmas Prelude on December 7 and the second concert in Sanford on the afternoon of December 8. Please visit our Concerts & Events page for all the details.

COVID-19 Update

In the interest of keeping our singers and our audience safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, Seaglass Chorale has suspended all rehearsals and postponed our performance of The Peacemakers until a later date, possibly in August. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. In the meantime, we wish you good health and safe keeping!

Sing With Us!

Tired of winter and the cold? Warm up and join Seaglass Chorale! We are welcoming new members to join our musical community as we prepare for our Spring 2020 concert, The Peacemakers, which musically celebrates the efforts of some of the world's most recognized advocates of peace.

Rehearsals begin January 12 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Storer Street in Kennebunk. No audition is required. For rehearsal times, locations, and other information about singing with Seaglass Chorale, please see our Rehearsal Schedule and Frequently Asked Questions. You can also visit us on Facebook or call 207-985-8747 for more information. We'd love to have you join us!

The Peacemakers

The Peacemakers

Seaglass Chorale is thrilled to present The Peacemakers, a beautiful and haunting work by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins, on a date to be announced at the Sanford Performing Arts Center in Sanford, Maine. The Peacemakers features the inspiring words of Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, and many other advocates for peace throughout history. Please visit our Concerts & Events page for all the details.

Twenty-Five Years

25 Years of Musical Excellence

Many thanks to all who helped us celebrate our twenty-fifth season! We kicked it off with a festive Wine & Beer Tasting in August 2018. Next we celebrated the holidays with Wassail Christmas concerts in Sanford and Kennebunkport, and we capped it off with a production of Carmina Burana in April 2019. We're looking forward to another twenty-five years of bringing music to our community.

Walk To End Alzheimer's

Team Seaglass at the Walk to End Alzheimer's

We did it! On Saturday, September 16, a team of Seaglass Chorale singers and supporters laced up their walking shoes and hit the pavement for the Walk to End Alzheimer's. This event, held each year in York Beach, Maine, raises much-needed funds for the Alzheimer's Association. When it was all over, Team Seaglass had raised over $4000 for this very worthy cause.

To Ireland In Song

Seaglass Chorale was honored to lend its collective voice to the 2017 Dublin Choral Festival Dublin Choral Festival. Under the direction of Stan Engebretson, a choir of 180 voices and traditional Celtic musicians celebrated "The Celtic Journey" in a concert on July 8, 2017, which raised much-needed funds for the Irish Hospice Foundation.
